MHRD Launches Education Based Mobile Apps in India- Mobiles Apps for Education

Technology is becoming fruitful for all the fields all over the world. With the increase in the uses of Internet, Now, mobile application is popular for every sector. Education is also getting many benefits with Technology advances and Mobiles apps for education. The Ministry of Human Resource Development (HRD) is all set to launch smart applications (apps) to make education accessible to more people across the country.

In a Recent initiative, the Human Resource Development (HRD) ministry has launched a number of mobile apps and web-based platforms allowing students to get study material online. Mobile app is more important with increase in mobile uses.

HRD is set to roll out School 2.0 app with textbooks uploaded to a mobile app and national virtual platforms for group study. According to the reports, Smriti Irani said, “Through mobile apps and website ‘E-pathshala’ students, parents and teachers can access study material online. We are trying to leverage technology not only to bring more transparency in school education system but also to create new learning opportunities for the children.”

This will also help parents to keep a track of the performance and attendance of their children. Another initiative for CBSE schools ‘Saransh’ which will help parents to compare subject-wise learning outcome of their children, with others at district, state and national levels. HRD ministry, along with some state governments, was working to lessen the burden of exams on students and declaration to this effect may be made in the coming year. She has complimented state ministers, saying because of their cooperation the dream to have toilets for girls in all schools has been realized.

On the other side, other initiatives which will be launched are ‘Shala Siddhi’ which aims to improve schools and ‘Shaladarpan‘, in which parents will be kept informed about the child’s presence, mark-sheets and time table etc.

The NCERT has planned to expand the learning material database.These learning aids will be more helpful in taking learning material to the far and remote areas in Indian States.
