Kerala Achieves 100 Percent Education In India

Kerala has reached to a new mile stone; it’s officially the first state of India to achieve 100 percent in primary education. Mohammad Hamid Ansari has officially declared the 100 per cent primary education status achieved by Kerala.

According to the news report, Education Minister of Kerala, P K Abdu Rabb said, “Kerala has become the first state in the India to achieve 100 percent in primary education. This has been achieved through the primary education equivalency drive of the state literacy mission”

In the second phase of program, students who did not have the complete primary education due to any reason will be provided classes to achieve the primary education. According to a press report, around 2.6 lakhs students appeared in this program in month of June 2015. This exam was conducted on 6613 centers across the state.

The importance of education in Kerala is indicated by the state’s ranking as the most literate in the country. Schools and colleges are mostly administered by the government. Each school is associated with either the Indian Certificate of Secondary Education (ICSE), the Central Board for Secondary Education (CBSE), Kerala State Education Board or the (NIOS).
