University of Rajasthan is a public university in the Indian state of Rajasthan. It was set up on 8 January 1947 in Jaipur as the University of Rajputana and was bestowed its current name in the year 1956. It is one of the Best Universities of North India. Now, Rajasthan University is planning to set up  “a centre for innovation, incubation and entrepreneurship along with facilitating tie ups with industries”.

The University has 6 constituent colleges, 11 recognized research centers, 37 postgraduate departments and more than 300 affiliated colleges. The University offers more than 35 research level programs like Ph.D., 40 Master’s degree courses and 50 Bachelor degree courses. The Rajasthan University Results are always outstanding with many students placed in MNCs and Govt. Jobs.

The University of Rajasthan is accredited A+ by the NAAC India. There are numerous examinations of different education stream conducted by the university. According to the University Vice Chancellor JP Singhal told in an official release, “the university is contemplating two phases of the project which will provide support functions, mentorship and resources to students of Rajasthan, both from the university and outside the university”.

  1. Under the first phase, students from various departments of the university will be mentored where individuals from outside can also come and seek assistance.The university has well-established physical infrastructure for such a center, which would be able to support facilities for arts, science and commerce streams.
  2. Students will innovate ideas and develop them into a business model with the advice of this centre. University have industrial tie-ups, so that students can get exposure, that the fund would be raised from UGC, MHRD and the state government.

The university wants to nurture good ideas and promote students. The centre will be helpful in developing an ecosystem to inspire and support students, aspiring entrepreneurs and start-ups.
