Jharkhand government Will Distribute Free Books To Girls Students

The Jharkhand School Education Department has decided to give free textbooks to girl students. Jharkhand Education department will distribute Uniforms and notebooks to the girl student of Class 9 to class 12th in Jharkhand.

According to newspaper reports, an associated official said that this initiative was the first in the country by any state and targeted to benefit around one million girl children studying in government high schools. Jharkhand will be providing the same to all the remaining students from Class 9 to 12 under state’s school education schemes.

All of these Stuffs will be provided at the start time of the academic session, every year. The fund for this scheme would be given to the respective School Management Committees (SMC). Two sets of uniform. Apart from this girl students also get Rs 750 for notebooks and Rs 950 for textbooks every year. The state government is also planning to construct new colleges for girls to promote higher education in state.

A fixed deposit scheme called the CM’s Vidya Laxmi Yojna has also been launched this year for girl students to curb dropout of girls from schools.
